All of us at FS TOP GUN would like to wish all Dedicated Players a Happy New year! We would also like to give you an update of where we are going into 2009. This Notam will hopefully answer some questions you may have regarding the FSTG Server.

FS TOP GUN is actively seeking new Server Administrators, Events Coordinators, Programmers and Web Masters that will help take us into the future. Anyone who can offer their time and expertise should speak to Lendog, Strike or Hes18. Please feel free to post a message in the FSTG Forms indicating what role you would like to play in improving the server and attracting new players...

FS TOP GUN currently hosts three flying games. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002, 2004, and FSX, Pacific Fighters and IL-2 Sturmovic 1946. We would like to host more flying games in the future with your help. Please let us know what other flying games you would like to see at FS TOP GUN and how we can expand those games.

If you have not logged into Team Speak in the last six months, your Registration has probably been deleted. In order to keep your Registration active we recommend logging into Team Speak at least once a month. In 2009 Team Speak Registrations will be given on the following basis. You must have an Active Registration on the FS TOP GUN forms. You must be a dedicated Player at FS TOP GUN and contribute to the growth of the Server. Players that have a conflict of interest will no longer be allowed registration at FS TOP GUN. Please see any Server Administrator if you qualify for Registration. They will be able to help you.

Special thanks to our players that consistently donate to cover our basic Dedicated Server Cost, without them we would not be able to fly with the best connectivity possible, Host unlimited players, Expand, and continue our Free Services. Extra special thanks to Strike and Hes18 for Top Donations of 2008.

FS TOP GUN is proud to announce that we have just passed our four year anniversary! We count on you the players for our continued Success. We encourage everyone to do what they can to keep us the Best Server out there!! Remember FS TOP GUN is the Players Server and we are what you make of it!

New Games!!

We would like to announce that FS TOP GUN will now be hosting new Multiplayer Flight Simulator Games. We now currently offer Flight Simulator 2002, 2004, and FSX. We have just now added Pacific Fighters and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 witch is now open for multiplayer action.

Our Pacific Fighters Multiplayer session is hosted on IP fstopgun.org:21000. Voice communications are on our Team Speak. The IP for Team Speak is fstopgun.org. This is a Combat Flight Simulator Game simulating World War 2 Arial Combat.

IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 is the newest and latest version of the IL-2 Series. The IP for this Game is fstopgun.org:21001. The communications are on our Team Speak IP fstopgun.org

Now with the New Dedicated Server we are offering supreme Ping Time, we also will be offering more games in the future. We will be starting a post in the FS TOP GUN Forum Called New Flight Simulation Games. We would like to know what multiplayer Flying Games you would like to see us Host in the future. We welcome your input!

Exciting News!!

First I would like to inform everyone that Delivery_ guy has moved on to pursue other interest. His dedication to FSTG and Flight Sim as a whole has been a large asset to this community. On behalf of FSTG we wish him the very best and hope to still see him from time to time.

The second thing we would like to inform you about is some new FSTG Website Features. We have started a new Upload and Download Center at FSTG. You will be able to upload your Flight Simulator freeware for download on our site. We only accept complete projects for FS2004 and FSX. All Files must be freeware and legal for upload. We hope you enjoy this new feature. Please report any abuse to mail@fstopgun.org with regard to the new Download Center. We have also updated our Team Speak link to allow you to get more information and a look to see the players on TS via the website. This application will also load a lot faster. We are also working to incorporate Google Earth into our Players Map Section of the website. At present you will be able to download a file that you can use as an icon to open Google Earth so you can see all the Live Air traffic on FSTG in Real time with real world satellite images.

Last but not least FSTG will be upgrading to our New Dedicated Server Today!!! Say Goodbye to Lag!! This is long over due. You will now be able to receive the Very Best Ping time available at FSTG. We will also be able to handle an unlimited number of players. With this we may have a short downtime today while we transfer the Server. We will keep you posted with regard to any down time on the FSTG Homepage. We have invested in you the player and would ask you for your Donations to help with the continued success of FSTG and absorb some of the operating cost. With your help this will allow you more opportunities with FSTG and keep us a free service. Special thanks to the players that have already donated!!

Leading the Flight Simulator Community

On October 5, 2007 FS TOP GUN shut down its communication server due to lack of people flying in the Game. We understand that we are a social community. The concern is that we have had little players connected to the Game Server and many players connected to Team Speak. In order to attract more players to our server we need to have many players flying in the Game. This is why people come here in the first place. �The more Players connecting to the Game, the More Players for all of us to fly with�.

In Order to correct these issues we will be asking all players that are connected to the FS TOP GUN Team speak be connected to both the Game Server and our Team Speak Server at all times. Regardless if you are even flying or not. This should help the issue and attract more players to FS TOP GUN.

We will enforce this through our Server Administrators until we can maintain a significant amount of traffic in the Game. In order for us to continue this free service we need to stay busy! This should help the overall traffic to our Servers and benefit us all. We look forward to your cooperation in this matter.
